| As a boy Kent made his first toy camera from things he found around the house. A box that bank checks came in was the body, a Pringles potato chip canister was used for a lens. An eraser from a pencil served as the shutter release and a bottle cap resembeled the shutter speed dial. The love affair with the camera had begun. In junior high he got his first SLR camera. A few years later he was photographing for the high school magazine which garnered him his first cover image. This is when Kent began to wonder if he could make a career doing what he loved. After graduating from college with a photography degree, Kent landed at an in house catalog department...in the graphics darkroom! That job grew over a twelve year span out of the darkroom and into a 3000 sq.ft. studio shooting product and vehicles, as well as location shoots in the Midwest, the mountains of Colorado, and around Los Angeles. Today you can still find Kent shooting product and vehicles in the studio and on location. He is known for his expertise in photographing chrome and reflective products that make some photographers cringe. For Kent, it's not about capturing that one moment, but building an image to make the product look its very best. When you need your product to stand out, give Kent a call and see the kind of detail that he can bring to the table. |
